Thank you for considering Midwest in your career search! We’re happy to have you here. A few things you should know about us – our mission in life is to create a world where children with Autism can truly thrive without changing who they are. To accomplish this goal, we look for dedicated employees that share our passion for learning and serving our community.
We aren’t just here to provide testing and therapy services, we’re here to raise awareness, support each other and most importantly support the families we work with. When you join our team, you aren’t just signing up for a job, you’re signing up for a career with a leadership team who wants to hear your voice, and support your growth and well-being.
Happy employees are what makes an organization great. Without our team, we can’t make a difference in the lives of kids throughout Iowa. That’s why we emphasize employee satisfaction as our top indicator of success.
All of our employees are paid top-of-market for their roles. This means that if average pay increases, so does your hourly rate. Your pay rate will never decrease if the top market rate goes down.
Top-of-Market Pay Rate
Each employee at Midwest is paid the highest rate for their role. For example, if the average hourly rate for RBTs in Des Moines is between $15-$20/hour, our RBTs will be paid $20/hour. If that average rate increases to $25/hour we increase wages to meet that rate. Wages are never reduced if the to-of-market rate decreases.
We invest in our employee’s happiness. Members of our team receive an annual fund that can be utilized at any time. There are no restrictions on how this fund can be used. The only requirement is that if you do something cool, you send in photos so we can all live vicariously.
We believe that when our Center succeeds our employees should be rewarded. Instead of a traditional bonus structure where payouts are offered to a single team or individual, we utilize a profit-sharing model. When the Center meets quarterly goals, every member of our team receives a piece of the pie.
Mental Health Days
Each month, staff can take up to 1 mental health day. These days are a bonus on top of existing PTO allotments.
Friday Team Lunches
Friday should be a day to celebrate all we’ve accomplished through the week. And, what better way to do this than with lunch? It’s just one of the ways we choose to show our appreciation for all you do.
Employee Feedback Portal
Most people spend between 20-40 hours at work each week. Why not be happy while you’re there? While we can’t promise every day will be a walk on the beach, we can promise that we’ll listen if you have ideas to improve our work environment.
Important information regarding our health plan’s Machine-Readable Files (MRF) https://www.bcbsal.org/web/tcr.
This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes in-network negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
